I love both anime and music, so I love awesome opening and closing themes. But I also love ones that have really cool animation. So here's a list of my top 10 favorite anime opening theme animations.
10.) Samurai Champloo
A cool looking opening for a cool show full of awesome music. RIP Nujabes, your stuff was great. Animation Studio: Manglobe.
9.) Paranoia Agent
Probably one of the most creepy, yet intriguing openings I've seen. Major bonus points for being by Satoshi Kon, and having Hirasawa Susumu music. Animated by Madhouse.
8.) Maria Holic
I love the paint, I love Maria's expressions...it's very creative. Animated by SHAFT.
7.) Arakawa Under The Bridge
I really dig the fish and the backgrounds and the colors. It's very cute. Also from SHAFT.
6.) Serial Experiments Lain
Another creepy opening for a creepy, but totally amazing, (and seriously underrated) anime. It gives a really good impression of the show, and it makes you want to see more. Done by Triangle Staff.
5.) Cowboy Bebop
The color choices, the text, the rectangles, it all looks really cool together. Animated by Sunrise.
4.) Death Note
"What the heck is this!?" Bright colors, yelling, and randomness. That pretty much sums up this whole OP. But it's cool looking, and seriously grabs your attention! From Madhouse.
3.) Paprika
More Satoshi Kon and Hirasawa Susumu! Another awesome looking opening from Madhouse. It's a great way to start off the movie, and it's...I don't know, it's just really cool looking, check it out!
2.) Zan Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei
It's so...weird, I love it. Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei always has really cool, unique openings, but this is my favorite. SHAFT again.
1.) Ef- A Tale of Memories
This one takes the number one spot because I love everything about it. i love the colors used, the song is awesome, I like the use of text...just everything about it is great. This opening theme actually made me want to watch the anime. By SHAFT, who is pretty much my favorite when it comes to opening themes.
Openings that just barely missed making the list: Baccano and Xam'd: Lost Memories.
Agree? Disagree? Let me know what you think!
